My research interest revolves around sustainability development of business and supply chain operations. This paradigm has dramatically attracted researchers’ and practitioners’ attention due to global warming concerns over the last decades. Inspired by real-world case studies and the operations and supply chain management literature, my interdisciplinary research projects investigate the question of how supply chains can play a fundamental role in helping businesses become more environmentally– and socially–sustainable while complying with investors’ financial expectations. My contributions can be clustered around three main research streams: (1) social responsibility, and sustainability development; (2) supply chain management and coordination; and (3) data analytics and reinforcement learning.
